Take the CompUSA Ad for the NERO for only $60 up front to any local Fry's location and they will price match + $50 MIR... $10! *You can use the online ad, but I do not guarantee they will accept it, I know they accept real ads... FYI Enjoy!

Reg Price: $100

Sale Price: $60

Rebate Price: $50

CompUSA online ad will not work. If one wants to do PM against Fry's ad, s/he must have real CompUSA ad from local newspaper, because:

1. that's Fry's policy
2. real CompUSA ad (from local newspaper, I had it handy) for Nero 6 Ultra Ed didn't say in detail the software version (while CompUSA online ad did specify Nero 6.3, see picture below), with Fry's in-store ad is Nero 6.6 (see picture below), if you take CompUSA online ad for Nero 6.3 (for $60 up front) to local Fry's, very good chance Fry's customer servive rep. will use the difference in software version to decline PM.

Now, Fry's ad for that Nero 6.6 in-store price is $70, with $50 MIR, CompUSA ad is $40 (100 - 60 instant savings) The best strategy to do PM in this case, in my opinion, is first to purchase the Nero 6.6 from Fry's (get the sale receipt & rebate form), then come back to Fry's customer service with real CompUSA ad (from local newspaper) handy and ask for Fry's 30 Day Low Price Guarantee. Doing this way, you could get 110% refund, plus $50 MIR (from Fry's).

After all that, would you say you get Nero 6.6 for free and make some money ?

Forgot to mention this: hope that the $50 MIR from Fry's is not of Mfr. Upgd. Mail-In rebate type. Otherwise, things would be complicated.

It's not, so it is $10 for everyone. Also, the actual NERO box comes with an additional $20 MIR, so, essentially, it would be $-10! Great deal if you already own NERO! :)

got Nero 6.6 for FREE and $14 also FREE

I was done with Nero 6.6 price match.

Bought the Nero this morning from Fry's, walked out to leave the software in my car, walked back in customer service area with Fry's receipt and the real CompUSA ad. The PIC there made a call to a local CompUSA store to verify the price and then gave green light to the rep. to process the PM.

Paid Fry's earlier $69.99, got back from Fry's $34 (110% low price guarantee), plus $2.81 (tax) back to my credit card.

So, I paid only $36 (70 - 34) up front for that Nero 6.6; with $50 MIR I will get Nero 6.6 for FREE and $14 also FREE.

Also, there's a $20 upgrade/competitive rebate that I can use in future on a purchase toward Roxio EZ CD Creator 6, Roxio EZ Media Creator 7, Intervideo WinDVD Creator 2, Ulead Video Studio 8 or Ulead Video Studio 9 since I now have proof of purchase of Nero 6.6

Got the deal done in one trip. Not bad at all. Thanks, rockstar, for bringing up the idea.

btw, sorry if this deal doesn't work out for everyone in the states.

Forgot to mention that the $50 MIR is just a regular rebate (valid @ Fry's and outpost.com only), not Mfr. Upgrd one. Good thing.

So not worth the effort, there is also tax on top of those amounts, this already sells for as cheap as $6.99 at Amazon Marketplace.
