Price dropped to $24.99

The price has dropped from $59.99 to $24.99 with $35 in rebates -- so you can make $10 (or $20 on a pair) now. Sweet!

holland, where are you getting that from? I count $120 of rebates for 2. The price of the adapter is $59.99 and there is no instant rebate. Great deal though! I'll use this to play PS2 online now.

OOS in my area anyway. Thanks the same.

FYI I just called my local store and they have plenty in stock. The online system just aparantly sucks.

this would be pretty to cool to have. wonder if it works with tivo.

Holland, I agree with bubbafett that you are wrong.

I saw the ad in the store and this FAR deal is supposed to be in conjunction with the purchase of some other device for $249. I almost didn't go through with it. But, when I got back to the office and reread all three rebate forms it looks like there is no small print on that requirement.

Two of the forms clearly state that you can do two devices on one rebate form but the $15 rebate suggests that you need to complete two forms. I get a sick feeling that I will only be getting one of the two $15 rebates. I was so tempted to ask for two separate receipts on this deal just to be safe.

Each rebate form supports two items (since they are used in pairs, I assume).

When I got my two, I got all three rebates printed out at the register - a quick read showed no "bundle" requirement with the video sling-whatever...

I bought 2. FINALLY, I can put my network adapter on my PS2 to use. Thanks for the deal.

I didn't even think to check the register rebate forms. I was thinking of the forms that were linked to by spoofee. Thanks!

I should have my dad grab a pair of them so he can do the same deal.

If you guys read the $25 mail in rebate, you will notice that that rebate is vaild for Utah stores ONLY.

Not the way I read it:

9/18 - 9/24 is good everywhere
9/17 - 9/23 for Utah stores only

As a result of this deal, I learned that via the CompUSA website you can put a "72 hour hold" on in-store items by providing your credit card number. I'd never heard of this until now.

There was only one store with the items in stock near me, but when I got there around 19:00 they were all "on hold". Even though these units weren't outright sold to anybody yet, CompUSA does honor the 72 hours apparently. Anyway, something to keep in mind for next time.

You 'buy' it via the website but specify in-store pickup. The local store's computer specifies that it has been sold.

Hey I picked up 2 and they work great for Inet around the house. I hooked my PS2 up to it and could not get any games to work online. My PS2 is modded. I wonder if that's why. Anyone know? Anyway, it works great otherwise.

BTW you need 2 for it to work. You can't network with just one. 1 has to be hooked up to your router/modem and the other to the device you want to use in the house. Just in case someone didn't know that. I didn't and am glad I bought 2. I suppose that's why they allowed 2 on a rebate.

You plug one into an electrical socket near the router and plug it into the router.

Then you plug the other one into the wall near the computer and plut it into the computer ethernet port.

instead of sending the signal wirelessly it runs the internet signal through the power lines.
