Be careful

Everyone use caution when using these samples of whitening products. I used some and lost part of a tooth. I had a tooth that I broke off when I was a teenager. Had it refixed 2-3 years ago. After using the samples(about 1 month later)when I was flossing, the bond just broke down and the tooth fell out.

Listen to this information:

" Not everyone is a candidate for bleaching, so you should be evaluated first by a dentist. One reason to check with your dentist is to ensure that you will not be sensitive to the procedure. It may be necessary to replace some older fillings with new fillings prior to the process, to avoid sensitivity. Also, because porcelain and tooth-colored fillings tend not to bleach, you may want to replace them after bleaching in order to improve aesthetics.

" Not all over-the-counter bleaching solutions are pH-balanced. Some may cause irritation of the gums.

" Bleaching can sometimes lead to sensitive teeth, which your dentist can help by changing the concentration of the solutions or administering fluoride.

" It is important to have a custom-fitted mouth guard so that the bleaching gel remains on your teeth, rather than on your gums. The combination in-office/take-home whitening procedure In this procedure, models are taken of your mouth, and a custom-fitted bleaching tray is made for you. I instruct my patients to wear the tray for a period of two weeksfor four hours each day, or they may wear it overnight. Results vary depending upon the original color and shade of your teeth (i.e., some teeth are naturally yellow, reddish-brown, or gray.)

Thanks but no thanks....I'm already having enough trouble with my smile......called BILLS. If something happens to my teeth.....it will leave me without a smile because of more bills. If your teeth is yellow or dengy from smoking. Just try to stop smoking....brush more often....and let your teeth be natural. Stop getting caught up in all these fads. This will keep a smile on your face....money in your pocket.....the teeth will guaranteed clean by just a natural process call brushing your teeth 3 times a day if you can. Most whiteners and oral gels that suppose to whiten and keep away pain.....well they don't do this....it may take away the pain but our teeth will rot away faster. This means money to your dentist and you with a big BILL unless you have a very good 80%-100% paying dental insurance. If you do...please tell me about it. Email me: [email protected] :) :rose:

I smoke & use this little $5 kit from walmart

my teeth are perfect! don't overlook the cheap stuff & don't be scared by people who just don't brush trying to blame it on whitening solutions. i'm in wv. i see nasty teeth all the time. "blah, blah, crest whitening strips did this"?? haha, who are you fooling?

Thanks! :)

Overuse of whitening products can cause teeth to become very sensitive and porous, allowing the food and drink that stain your teeth to potentially discolor your teeth even more even after whitening. Its always best to go through your dentist. Better safe than sorry, right? :) Its always good to be careful.
