1. Look at your local ad to make sure they have the chair for $49.99.

3. Make sure it rings up as $49.99.

mybad, i was looking at wrong chair, but still that chair shows up for 29.99 in the Atanta stores, any ideas??

I just called my local Office Max in Chicago IL and they said that chair comes out to $29.99 after rebates not FREE. Anyone else expereinced this?

I purchased the chair last year for $40(after rebate). I do not like the fact that it only features an up and down adjustment. There is not a reclining freature and the side arms do not move making it difficult to get the ergonomic fit. I prefer a simple seat and back adjustment. The deal isn't too bad for free though.

That doesn't make any sense. And from what the ad shows, the SKU is the same as the rebate.
 
My local ad states that after rebate, the chair would be $29.99.

However, if the chair were to ring up $49.99, the chair would be free after rebate.

Has anyone tried to buy this chair yet? If so, did it ring up at $49.99??

I might drop by my local OfficeMax and ask them about it.

ads don't match

the instore specials for massachusetts they showed online did not match the in-store circular I got when I went to the store. I did not even see this chair on sale in the store's circular so I did not even try to ring it up.

I might go through the effort of finding it and getting a price check if more people report the chairs are still ringing up for $49.99 here in MA.
 
Just got back from OfficeMax with my 2 free chairs. (West Michigan area)
They did not even have the chair on display (had to get it in te back room) and were shocked the $50 mail in rebate printed out of the register....
 
Free Chairs...

Went to my Ohio Officemax and had to ask for the chairs... $99.99 - $50 instant and then register printed out a $50 mail in....Advice...just go get them.....
The clerks were all suprized....
 
I called the store and they said they had plenty in stock, and the price was 99.99. I asked them to do a price check on it and gave them the SKU. they said it rang at $49.99. Went to the store, bought the chair at 49.99 and got the rebate for $50 printed. they were surprised. A co-worker went in an hour later to the same store and the chair rang at 79.99 (They changed the price in there system). so it would be 29.99 after rebate.
I guess they have caught on.

I just went to buy one and it rang up 49.99, also printed out the 50$ mail in rebate. Now i am home and went to fill out the form and on the bottom of the rebate form it says that purchases must be made between 7-11 and 7-18. So now i have to go return it... oh well it was worth a try...
 
i checked my local ad and the chair was on there for $49.99, but i went to the local store and the ad in front of the store had a different chair (it was $129.99). i asked the sales associate about the $49.99 chair and he had no idea.

i'm comparing the two ads now (the one i got from the store and the one online for that store) and it looks like they just took the one chair out and put the more expensive chair in its place in the ad.... somethin fishy's goin on...

kitty5531 the rebate that comes from the register will not work that is why you need to use the rebate online, just print it out and send :)
 
Same chair Different SKU?

I just went to officemax and they were sold out of the sku that is listed. But they had the same chair in black Sku: 20745419. It is the same chair. It rang up as 49.99 at the register, (regular 100) sure hope it works with the rebate. I may have to do some calling and arguing, but its the same chair!

Officemax Online rebate is valid

The price was $99.99. Price checking came it down to $49.99 and rebate for $50 was printed. After that I found the valid purchases must be made between 7-11 and 7-18. I thought to return it back. But online rebate form is showing that the validity is between July 18 - Sept 25. So I shall fill up the online rebate form.

If the rebate was valid up to 7/18, and this SPOOFEE deal was for MOnday 7/19, then how did ANY of you get the deal? I mnight try tomorrow we have an OM at the mall..
