Obama Given Nobel Peace Prize

The Republicans are NOT going to like this.
 
Could someone just explain to me WHAT peace was achieved?

We are still in Iraq with no more of a plan to pull out than the Cowboy had, we are still in Afghanistan with a supposed need for an increase in troops, he is apparently one of a number of our last few presidents who was not aware that Iran was building large nuclear bunkers, we had to send Bill Clinton to North Korea to exact the release of the two female journalists, he is making talk show appearances to get his own healthcare package pushed through because his "reaching across the aisle" hasn't elicited any peace between the parties and most recently he couldn't even get his mojo to work on the Olympic Committee.

I mean, I was even willing to stretch my "peace" definition, but I got nothing....
 
I bet if before this story broke had someone come up to you and said " Hey, you hear Obama is up for a Nobel Peace Prize?". You would be waiting on the punchline, no matter your political stance.
 
All the peace created between the Democratic and Republican parties? :confused:
 
I was humbly reminded by a friend of his exquisite work during Beergate, er the Beer Summit, uh...anyway when he happily interfered, I mean, executed a "peace agreement" between the Cop and the Harvard Professor (soon to be a musical).

So, I stand before you, corrected. He deserved this prestigious award.:blushing:
 
He isn't bringing peace to the USA with all of his arrogance.

It's not what was achieved, but how he stands for peace. In 3 years it'll be too late to give it to him so they wanted to do it now.
 
omg this is ridiculous!! the nominations had to be submitted by Jan 31st so he was pres for a whole whopping like 11days or something.....REPUBLICANS are not the only people STUNNED by the absurdity of this!
 
I saw the headline and wondered what in the world he could have done to deserve such an honor... still waiting...

Let me make sure I'm getting this... He was given the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE because his PROMISE of disarmament and diplomancy. So... he's DONE nothing. He just talks it up well.

What an insult for all the other people around the world who are actually doing.

I'm just very disgusted.





I need to just get out of this topic so I can go enjoy the rest of the night, but...

In his 1895 will, Alfred Nobel stipulated that the peace prize should go "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between the nations and the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation and spreading of peace congresses."

Why are people shocked? The Nobel prize committe is nothing but socialist Marxists.....who do you think they'll be awarding the Nobel peace Prize to? - one of their own.

May I also remind you that that is the same committe who awarded the same Peace Prize to no one other than Yasser Arafat (may he rot in his grave, bastard). A peace prize to a palestinian terrorist leader?! Now that one was and still is a shocker.
