OM makes good on CenDyne rebates!

I finally recived a check for my CenDyne Burner today, but to my suprise, it was from OfficeMax. They attached a little note to the bottom of the check:

Thank you for your purchace of INTERNAL 48X12X48 IDE CD-RW.

However, CenDyne Inc., the promotion sponsor, has entered into court-appointed receivership and ceased funding the promotion.
We are happy to inform you that OfficeMax has chosen to fund your rebate check in place of CenDyne, in order to endure the best possible experiance for you,
a valued OfficeMax customer.


In my mind, this makes up for OM's usually slow rebates. .

same thing happen to me for staples cendyne burner...sweet!!

So far it's staples and OM doing this, which is surprising. I expected they would just stump up a gift card, ESPECIALLy since in the case of a cendyne 48x12x48, OM sold it for 69.99 and they wind up paying for the $30 mfr rebate and the $50 OM rebate. Blown away really.

As far as fry's, or BB, somehow I highly doubt they will do the same thing.
