Can anyone who vacation in Orland, Fl. Tell me of the best deal for getting inot SeaWorld and WetNwild, may Universal Studios also. I will only be there for a short vaction with my family of 4. I will be driving from Atlanta, Ga. and found a good hotel for the low low, but I am having trouble finding a good deal on getting into the parks. Can anyone offers suggestions for getting the best deals or maybe a link to a site that has some? I will be there June 16-19. Thanks In advance..... :)

If you want to go ultra-cheap, you can sit through a time-share sales pitch. They'll usually give you tickets for one of the parks for that. In the summer, it's probably going to be hard to get a good deal for a non-resident. There's always the standard AAA discount or one of those. Good luck.

I have a friend of a friend that lives in Orlando. Is there some why to get a better deal if you are local? My family and I plan to anly be there for a few days so sitting through boring sales pitches is not a good option. I'm surprised that people havn't found better ways around the very high prices for these parks.

Honestly, I can get into any theme park for free because I know employees at all of them. Deals for locals are much different that tourists. Resident prices usually require a Florida ID. There are a lot of deals for educators as well, but usually just within Florida. If you have a friend who lives here, he/she probably knows someone who works in the park who may be willing to part with their free passes. Technically, they can't sell them, but sometimes friends of friends end up with them. The parks right now are all doing things like 3 day pass for the price of a 1 day pass or even annual passes if you plan on coming back. If you're only going to be in town a few days, I would suggest picking what you want to do beforehand because it's exhausting trying to hit everything. Universal has a new Fear Factor show. Typhoon Lagoon has a new slide that's supposed to be pretty cool. I don't have kids, so I don't know what kind of stuff you're looking for.

I got 20% using the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards program.

:secret: You don't have to be a frequent flyer with Southwest. Just sign up on-line at https://www.southwest.com/rapid_rewards/enroll/open_enrollment.html and print out your temporary card after you sign up and bring it (or if the original card arrives by mail in time) with you when you go to SeaWorld and show it to the person in the box office.

I know it isn't free, but its better than a dull stick in the eye.

Have fun!!
