Amazon.com has the Panasonic NB-G100P 7.2-Quart 1300-Watt Infrared Toaster Oven for $59.99 shipped. Here's a toaster oven that cooks up to 40% faster than conventional toaster ovens for toast and frozen pizza. This item has a rating of 4.5/5 rating from 122 Amazon customers.

We have this toaster oven and it is awesome! If you need a new one I would say go for this deal. :D

Thanks for this one. We have been looking for a new toaster oven and I went with your recommendation.

I've heard about these, they're suppose to be faster than regular ovens (similar to microwaves?) but still bake like regular ovens. Weird.

:bigok: I hope you like it! Be sure to read the directions, this is much more "space age" than the regular toaster oven. LOL We got ours about 1 1/2 years ago and it still works like new. You can make so much stuff in it...garlic toast, cookies, biscuits, heating up left-overs, etc. It's all good. The light is very bright so don't get too excited about the new toaster and stare directly into it as it cooks. :D

It's the high-speed convection oven technology that a lot of restaurants use. It works great.

To those of you guys that have it... I'd like to get one, but one of the Amazon reviews complained about the outside of the appliance getting very hot during operation, and that it's easy to burn yourself. This sounds kind of exaggerated - have you guys had any problems like this?

All toaster ovens get hot. We love this toaster oven! Haven't used it for anything except English muffins and toast so far. The "near infrared" light is bright, but at counter level it does not shine in your eyes. The timer finishes with a pleasant beep that won't wake up the entire house. It's easy to use and looks good too. It's a little bigger (wider) than our old Sanyo double-decker toaster oven but it will do 4 pieces of toast instead of 2. The instructions say to keep it about 1-inch away from the wall. I hope this helps.
We recommend it if the size does not matter to you.

Nope. It isn't convection oven cooking. That requires a fan to move hot air around the food. This is simply the best toaster oven we've ever had. It cooks via light bulbs. We've had ours for two years, no problems. Only downside I can think of would be the expense of replacing the light bulbs when they go.
