I signed up for a Pay Pal account. I am trying to make a purchase, but Pay Pal will not release my funds unless I link my Pay Pal account to my bank account. This doesn't make sense to me. My funds were deposited in by Pinecone and will cover the purchase. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of a way to use paypal with out linking it to your bank account? If you do have paypal, can you tell me if you've had any problems?

Ive been a paypal user for years and never had a problem with my checking account. I do believe that you can link paypal to a credit card instead of a bank account, but that may result in hot having a verified address.

I didn't want to give paypal my bank info so I had to send in a copy of my drivers license & a bill with my current address on it. I also had to send in a copy of the email they sent me requesting that info so you will have to send them an email and ask them for another way of getting verified for you to get the email. I tried to locate the one I had to post, but I can't find it. I hope that helps. :)

My Pincecone checks get deposited to my PayPal account and PayPal has my bank info. I haven't had a problem w/ it yet.

*knocks on wood*

I love paypal now and get my pinecone ca$h that way, but at the time when I wanted to set up my account I was kind of skeptical about giving out that type of info because I had never really heard of them before...The way I got verified in my previous post is a good way of getting verified if you are a scaredy cat like I was!!

I really didn't know there was another way to get verified.

paypal

I use paypal frequently and it is linked to my bank acct. albeit a separate acct with a limited amount of money kept on deposit, . I have had no problems in the 3 years i've been using it

I didn't give them my personal bank acct info for years. But I did give the credit card info.

I can't really remember life before paypal. I've always had it linked to my bank account and credit card and never had any problems.

I've had PayPal for a few years and the only problem I actually had occurred last week: PayPal locked my account. I actually found out about it when I tried to make payment on something I won on eBay. I could receive money but not send it from my account.

It was fairly easy to get my account back, although I had to wait for one day for the eBay Safe Harbor team to review and approve my account access. All I was told was that someone accessed my account from a different location and that is why it was locked.

Heck, this was the ONE TIME I got a legit e-mail from PayPal stating that my account was locked. (Of course, I did verify from my PayPal control panel.)

I've had paypal for years....probably around 6 or 7 and never had a problem. I gave them both my bank info and charge card. I've heard horror stories but never by anyone I know personally and my freinds have been using longer and more frequently then me.

BUT what's Pinecone Cash? Will they give me money too? I want some!

Haven't you signed up for Pinecone? They pay you 5.00 for each survey.... really easy cash. They've only sent me 3 surveys since I signed up in April. But it was an easy 15.00!

Click on this link, look for the link for Pinecone and sign up now. The link is not open all the time so catch them quickly. :)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I do a couple other survey sites but I never heard of this one.
Again,
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I think I got in. I'll wait for me e-mail. What a great site. I'm already signed up for some of those but I plan on a bunch more. Every little bit helps!
Thanks again!

I am signed up for several sights too. But everyone I knows agrees Pinecone pays the fastest. I normally get paid by check in about 3 days after I take a survey. If you use paypal the $$ is in your account in a couple of days. Have youtriaed survey spot?

I've make about 20.00 - 30.00 a month off them. The down side is most surveys are an entry into a contest. (I've never won) But I get between 2 and 3 paying surveys a week, paying between 3.00 and 25.00. It takes them 4-6 weeks to post the $$ to your account. Then another 3 or 4 to send a check.... after you request payment. But if you can wait that long they do pay out.

that is why I would never join paypal. they want your personal information t your checking account. that is how they get you. close your paypal account down. they are no good.

'but Pay Pal will not release my funds unless I link my Pay Pal account to my bank account.'

So just link it to your credit card.

paypal

hello I have a paypal account and havent had any problems with them they need your account to verifiy you they send 2 small deposits just change into your account and the amounts deposited is what you enter back to them to complete the process . I do beleive they also will do with a credit card also and by sending them some copys of bill statements but the checking account is the fasts way and it is just for security reasons . A idea maybe just do the checking account get the money transferred to whom or where it needs to go then think about canceling the account they dont charge you any monthly fees i had them for about 5-6 years now no problems .

I've used paypal for going on 10 years, never had a problem. I couldn't live without paypal!

Well look at it this way, what does the bank want from you? Your personal information, 20 forms of ID, a blood and hair sample..... well not really but Paypal asks for no more than a bank does and they protect your credit card information from websites that accept paypal. If a site is hacked into, they don't get paypal info, but they do get CC info. Just keep that in mind. Like I said, 10 years, no problems.
