I have Peachtree 2006 for my wife's business (shameless plug: http://www.covenantspice.com for you married people, very slightly NSFW).

Anywhoo, this program is definately a little on the difficult side to use. If you have an accounting degree, this should be easy. If you don't know accounting, there will be a rather steep learning curve. Be sure to at least get a "Dummies" or "Idiot's" book over the internet (your local brick-n-mortar bookstore is unlikely to have one in stock).

I have heard that Quickbooks is definately easier to use, but it is never free-after-rebate.
 
Is this not available anymore?

I get a "system error" when clicking on 1st URL and cannot find the software anywhere in Staples anymore...
 
Got my rebate on the 2006 version

It took about 4-5 months but I did eventually get my rebate for the 2006 version. (just 1 data point) I did install and register the program when I got it.
