Has anyone used Peachtree and can they compare it to QuickBooks Pro?

But how to sell the peachtree without the UPC code on ebay?

Problem is I notice no-one has bid on that item and ebay is saturated with Peachtree software so you may by paying $150+ and having to wait out the rebate....and then wind up selling it for $5.00 on ebay.

Mmmm...maybe file this under to much work and risk for too little reward. Anyone else ?

The link above to Ebay is up to $36 now and there's still 3 hours left... not bad.

Also, about comparing QuickBooks and Peachtree - I got Peachtree for free after MIR one time and gave it to my mother (she runs her own business so she uses Quickbooks religiously). After looking at it for a while, she just gave Peachtree back to me. So, I'm not saying one's better than the other, but my mom prefers QuickBooks.

Good find, uknow

I remember when I did this for Peachtree 2003, eBay was full of them too, but mine still sold for $40 amazingly.

Now this is my kind of deal... And I recall someone saying where have the great spoofee deals gone? well guess what - THERE BACK!!!

This is great, make $10 and use that money to sell this stuff on ebay. LOL I will sell the peachtree after getting my money back, and then maybe sell the phone at my next garage sale - or give it to someone who needs a nice new phone. :-)

FYI

You have to open up the box in order to get the serial number need for the rebate. So you will not have much luck selling it as open software.

I've bought about 12 copies of the Peachtree over
the last couple of years and received all the rebates
with no problems. I've sold only 2 or 3 on ebay since
shipping costs too much due to it's weight, even using
media mail which many people don't realize is much cheaper
than first class. I've received a larger profit selling them
at our local flea market since the $8-10 for shipping can
be tacked on to the selling price. Usually they sell for
about $60-80 and rather quickly. Even though I've
registered it for the rebate I just give the buyers the
info. they've never complained.

Acutlly when you preregister your rebate online it does not mention anything about sending in the serial number of the SW. All it asks for is the UPC and the rebate receipt or packing list.

I don't know about preregistering, but on the rebate form it states you need the serial # found on the back of the software package.

I remember before you actually had to register the product and enter the registration number on the rebate form in order to get it.
