Petmate Deluxe Fresh Flow Pet Fountain for $31.95 Shipped

I had this for a while. . . in fact, I think I'm one of the positive reviewers on there. . . after a few months, it became a nightmare. The filter was always clogged with fur and no matter how much I cleaned the thing, the water never seemed clean. It's a shame, too, because my cat liked it so much. But it is definitely not worth the hassle.
 
The Drinkwell Platinum is a *far* better design than the Petmate. I had a Petmate and, when the motor burned out, I replaced it with the original Drinkwell.
Compared to the Petmate, that one was a dream.

Comparing the original Drinkwell with the Platinum? If you have the means, absolutely get the Platinum.

However, don't waste your money on the Petmate. Use a plain old bowl instead.
