Uhhh... even with tax it's still cheaper than the $600 most stores are charging.

meh... No good games, sony loosing developers to microsoft and nintnendo on a daily basis, microsoft has better online and similar capability, nintendo has more innovative games, great selection of live arcade games. And for the price of a PS3 you can pretty much get both the Xbox 360 and the wii and have have access to over twice the exclusives that are available on the PS3. The PS3 needs to drop to around $400 to be worthwhile. Maybe in a few months...
