I've never had anything but problems with any sort of TigerDirect rebates....

Not to say this isn't a great deal or a bad drive, but I think I read somewhere that this a rebadged BENQ 1640 drive. That's why the 716 drive still costs more since it's a true Plextor drive.

Still for $50 for an external drive..nice!
