Pre-Order Rock Band Special Edition PS3 for $169.99 Shipped

The description states

"lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, and vocals"

and the product weight is 20pounds so I'm pretty sure it comes with more than a guitar and the game.
 
I preordered this last month for $199 and the price didn't change. So I just cancelled my preorder and submitted a new one, then added Cars Blu Ray for preorder and still saved over $7. I love that Spoofee.

And the Special Edition DOES include drum kit, guitar, microphone and game.
 
sounds like it would come with 2 guitars, the game and a drum set of some kind. You figure the guitars themselves cost 30 bucks each (in some cases 60 if they are wireless) and the game runs about 50-60 separate and then the drums are probably about somewhere around 30-50 this is a pretty good deal. I would also presume some better mics than the karaoke revolution logitech ones would also be included and those crappy ones ran for like 20 bucks each.

At a minimum 30+30+20+20+50+40 = 210 and the MSRP is $199 so this is a good deal, now without knowing much else about this game or the hookup I don't know if you would be able to just buy them separately and use the other equipment (say guitar) that you may already have. But I guess that is yet to be seen.

Actually when looking at the amazon site they have pre-sale for the $80 for the drums and $60 for each wireless ps3 guitar so it would look like a great deal if you got everything with it.

$169.99 is the official price announced today by MTV for both PS3 and 360. The bundle only has one single guitar, the drums, a mic, and the game.
 
It comes with 1 guitar, 1 drums set, 1 mic and the game. The PS3 version are all wireless while the 360 version comes with a wired guitar. The guitar can be used either as a bass or lead. If your group wants to play both at the same time, you have to purchase another guitar, PS3 costs $60 while 360 cost $80. You decide.

you can do that with the ps3... oh wait, you cant. its only a 360 feature.

The Xbox 360 version comes with a wired guitar though, while the Wii and PlayStation 3 versions are wireless. Though Amazon has the 360 version on top
 
360 version is same price, but the guitar is wired, not wireless.

Source? Or is this a feeble attempt at trolling?

The PSN service is not up to par with XBL, but I think it has done a adequate job thus far. I guarantee that the PSN will have downloadable content for RB & GH3. EA & Activision would be crazy not to. The Wii version is a completely different story however.....
