Overstock.com has the Cultured Freshwater Pearl Necklace for free.

Shipping is $1. Most likely a price mistake.

MSRP : $49.99

- Overstock Price : $0.00

Nice post.

I got an order confirmation when I ordered one. Maybe follow-up e-mail will say "sorry". If not, my wife loves FW pearls.

Awsome find

Thanks spoofee.

After adding the item to the cart, it looks like this.

Subtotal: $19.99

Grand Total: $1.00

WooHOO!!! one dollar for pearls. I'm gonna save them and give it out as a b-day present!! LOL  LOL (hint* hint* Lisa Tran.)

it isn't a mistake, it's a promotional item offered. Some of the reviews were good, but half said theirs arrived broken and were very cheap. I ordered cuz you never know, if they are that bad I will just give them to my seven year old!

same here. I got an order confirmation and it looks like a promotional thing. I plan to give it to my six year-old.

It's only a $20 necklace when not on special. I've noticed that overstock.com wildly inflates their so-called MSRP. But if you want a cheap cultured freshwater pearl necklace (as karebear said, for a child or something) then this looks worth the risk.

my thoughts exactly, gregg. A buck? Hell, if most of them arent broken, I can have them restrung for a bracelet for my mom.

LIve Squid, I was thinking the same thing. I can always reuse the pearls into something else.

Interesting site

This was my first time browsing through Overstock (ordered the necklace, of course!) but it seems like they must have some issues with entering prices~they had some "Arthur" kids reading books for the amazing price of...$11.99...for one paperback!! Not a set, one. The same books they have at the grocery and drug store for $3.99 full price!!:sus: Overstock also has the books flagged as "high risk of selling out"....I don't think so!!

Nice post though! It will be fun to see if and what arrives for all of us. Thank you, OP!! :claps:

...but it seems like they must have some issues with entering prices~ ...

That's exactly what I noticed. spoofee seems to have some connection with overstock.com, so maybe he can address this. But my example was a couple weeks back when some places (Staples, Best Buy) were selling new Tomtom One navigation systems for a little under $200. They were all quoting an MSRP of $300. So I looked at overstock, and they were trumpeting 50% off MSRP for a refurb! Great, I thought, until I noticed that their supposed MSRP was $500 ?! What gives? Their refurb would've cost $70 more than a brand new one.

Moral of the story, don't trust anything overstock.com says about MSRP.

I was going to get on this , but so many negative reviews about how poor quality it is, broken, returns...even for a buck...I think I'd use my buck for something else...that would not break.

thanks again spoofee for the deal.

also don't order anything bulky, especially if cheap shipping is why its a good deal. If it comes in broken, you will have to pay regular shipping costs to have it replaced. I bought an inflatable bed that leaked. After finding out how much it was going to cost to get it replaced, I just wrote it off.

it looks like you can only order one... unless you use different accounts and clear cookies, etc., huh?

ordered one cant beat it for $1 :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Ideally I am definitely not a fan of Overstock, have had alot of problems with recieving defective merchandise, wrong color, their fault, not mine, when I attempted to use the credits extended as an apology by them, they revoked the last credits stating "it doesn't matter whose fault it is, there are too many returns and credits on the account", this was a week before Xmas.........but, for a buck, and the use of a pre paid Visa card with $5 on it that had been given to me, I figured why not get the necklace, my neighbors 8 yr granddaughter will love it. Just a heads up, they retain your credit card info unless you get adamant that they delete it from their system. They would let me order only one as well, and yes, the MSRP's are higher than they should be. Never order anything memory foam from them, they destroy it when they vacuum seal it to send it.

this necklace is pearl grade "A", this is what I found out about it:

• A: This is the lowest jewelry-grade pearl, with a lower luster and/or more than 25% of the surface showing defects. In many cases, if the pearl is being mounted into a piece of jewelry, it can be mounted so that the defects are hidden -- thus providing a lovely jewelry piece at a lesser price. This quality has a chalky appearance and thin nacre, typically of .25mm or less. This thin nacre is due to early harvesting of the pearl.
