Yes they raised price to around 200 plus shipped after taxes, they will be on sale again though. -- To tell the truth i dont even want this camera, im holding out for a good deal on the a710IS. I will most likely give the extra one i have to my girlfriend and maybe take her sd450 and keep it around when i go out.

Youd be suprised, while vacationing in maui i used the optical viewfinder often while on the road. My girlfriend ran out of batteries on her sd450 on two occasions one at a luau and one at the wedding, i kept telling her to use her viewfinder for still shots or set the LCD to review/display 2 seconds only. I had my a700 that uses double A's so i brought an extra pair of fully charged batteries and didnt have a problem.
