If you're not in line already you aren't getting one. At least that's the word.

I went to Walmart one year to get the Super NES for $99. I got there a few minutes before the store opened and once it did it was every man or woman for themself. I remember some granny trying to shove past me! Never did it again...........and prob never will. It's all about the hype!

I agree KM, and it's not like there are going to be many games for it anyway. Plus on yahoo they're saying it has a lot of bugs to be worked out.

My mother-in-law went to Target a couple of years ago to get a gift for my nephew and some man shoved her to the ground and people just kept going and she got stepped on as well. She has never done that again.

Its kinda lame that they didn't change the design of the controller from the one of the PS2

I heard there are lines everywhere already.

They retail $499~599 depending on the drive size, but they are going for $1000-2000 on ebay.

No chance since there are only ~20 / store.

hahaha, i just pass by circuit city a friend of mine and people were camping out and eating pizza. lol also, i heard from my local best buy store that they're kicking people home. therefore i believe u can still get in line there....

I have a win win situation: Pay a homeless person some money to stand in line for you all day, then at 11:58 tonight show up and take their spot. The homeless person gets money, you get a ps3! Only thing is I could care less for a PS3, so, Oh well for me :clown:

hahaha...that's so funny cuz someone else suggested that...lol

Went to Walmart today and there were about 20 people waiting there. Walmart was letting them inside!!! They were sitting by the wall by the photo studio and hairplace. I thought it was nice that they let them inside. They had been there since Tuesday night......crazy!

When the PS2 came out store employees bought them so there wasn't any for those who waited in line. Same thing is happening this year from other forums.

Most stores only get about 5-10 units. If that.

the hubby reckons that there's always problems with the first batch of playstations. so it might be a good idea to wait a couple months or so to get one.

That isn't a new idea. They do that in DC for union picket lines. They pay these homeless (usually teethless too) people to walk around in a circle chanting carrying signs so the union workers could be out working. :worry:

I've heard some places now do not let you "save" your spot in line, meaning that if you get out of line for any reason(like to go to the bathroom) you can not have someone else save your spot for you,you lose your spot.
I don't understand why people always fall for these limited quantity high prices gimmicks, the companies do this everytime they come out with a new model. When will people learn to not let them play you like that.

i got a friend from taiwain that said he can get me a console. anyone know if it's pal or ntsc there? could it be used here? is it region-free too? :-D
