Question about Carhartt hat - For those who had gotten one for FREE

This was a great looking hat!! My husband has worn it since I got in the mail to work. I did have to hand wash it in cold water once. Put it in the hat dryer, it is a little plastic form fitting case the dries the hat so it does not loose it's form. We wash hats all the time, because he perspires a lot. Well we noticed over the weekend the hat it turning a redish color. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I was in a hurry yesterday, I meant to put Carhartt hat... most everyone got one of those didn't they?:hmm:

Did you use one of those soaps with "color safe" bleach?

This soap is reacting with the plastic form causes a chemical reaction (e.g. discoloration) - just ask DanC. :ignore:

What do I know about plastic forms causing discoloration? I didn't get the hat.


BTW, the best place to wash a hat is the top rack of the dishwasher.
