Question for mommies!!!!

Just wondering if any mother's have ever been in this situation. Where there newborn child needed to get surgury done. I had some abnormal results on a test i took about my baby and something was found where now she'll need surgury after she is born. Just wondering if there is something to worry about??? I mean death % rates and risks??????????????

I may not be a mommie, but I've got some friends that have had several issues with their kids before and after birth where surgeries have been a normal part of their health routine. The risks are there, but the benefits outweigh the risks by a huge margin.

i'm just scared thats all i guess. i'm due in the end of october/ beginning of november, thats not too far away. We've had complications already. I was pregnant with twins at first but one died so i think having the thought of losing this one too now after so long is horrible. She has a cyst on her kidney.

My sister had facial reconstruction surgery shortly after she was born, it was a very risky procedure.

I'm sorry to hear about your complication, and hope that everything turns out the best for you.

They told me the same thing about my son! When he was born, we went for a 4-week checkup, and there was nothing there. It went away by itself. the doctor said it could have just been water in the kidney.
I also had a friend that her baby had to have surgery for a cleft palate when she was 10 days old, and she's just fine, but I think that's mostly a cosmetic thing, and there's not a high risk of complications.
