Ok I need a PDA or a Palm Pilot....what is the difference? Are they the same thing?

I need it to take on appointments with me so I dont have to drag my laptop. I can put my quoting program on a palm pilot and I think it will just be more efficient. All i will use it for is that program...a .exe file. No email or anything like that.

I want something cheap but it has to be reliable. I have no clue where to start because i dont know anything about this. I would like to spend under $100.

I didnt post this in the deal forum because I have no clue what I want yet.

Thanks!

Palm is just the brand, Casey. PDA is the product. sort of like kleenex or ipod.

HAHAHA ok thanks! I'm a country girl.... we just got cable where i live....so i'm behind on the technology stuff!

If all you want is a scheduler, you can buy little hand held devices dedicated to keeping your schedule, and can get those for very cheap <under 30 bucks>. I'm not sure what this quoting program is that you were talking about. If that is really necesary, and you know that it is able to work on a specific Palm operating system <i.e. Palm OS, Windows CE, etc.> then you can look into a lower end Palm brand PDA. I haven't been around the palm series much lately, so I don't know what the knew lower end is, but it seems to me that a Palm m105 might be sufficient for what you need. If all you are really going to use it for is the scheduling application though, consider buying a dedicated hand held scheduler, cuz they're cheap and easy to use....
