How can this be possible? Both rebate requie the ORIGINAL UPC
Have anyone try this yet? If so, please post.
Thank you

I got this same deal when they offered it a month or so ago. Just got the rebate check from Logitech a couple days ago. Haven't got the Radio Shack check yet.

I love this keyboard primarily because it works in my living room on my DVR from across the room. I've been searching for a cordless keyboard that would work from 10-15 feet away from the receiver and this one does. My previous el cheapo one would only work about 5 feet away and was mostly useless in my situation and it was hard to find specs on how far others would go. I thought I'd have to spend a lot to get a bluetooth one, but this one works great from my couch.

It may work if you're willing to debate w/ their rebate center that their website is claiming $20 AR w/ these two rebates. But frankly, who could be bothered. As soon as I see a situation like this, I just pass.

If you decide to bite, make sure a) you send ORIGINAL UPC to Logitech, and COPY UPC to Radio Shack, b) keep a copy of the webpage so you can PROVE their website claimed the impossible, and c) include a cover letter w/ the Radio Shack rebate explaining why you included only the COPY of UPC (also include a copy of the webpage and copy of the Logitech rebate).

IOW, be proactive and you have a decent chance of Radio Shack accepting the COPY of UPC. If you don't, then expect to be calling their rebate center and having to fax/email all those materials anyway. Personally, I just assume get the jump and hope common sense prevails.

Could there be 2 UPC's on the box?

ANy chance there are 2 original UPC's on the box? I bought a Minolta laser printer with 2 rebates which required an original UPC on both and there were 2 on the box. I've had this occur on a couple of other items as well. (I believe one was an Epson inkjet, and can't remember the 3rd.)

I also had a product which had 5 stickon UPC's on the box (As I wondered why there were 5 UPC's?)

I suppose you could go into RS and look at the box.

I was at RS today (on unrelated business) and happened to see the item on the shelf. The possibility of two or more UPCs was the first thing I thought of, but unfortunately, there's only the usual ONE (at least on the outside of the box). And it was NOT a stickon, but imprinted in the carton.

Picked this up at RS last night and the rebate forms that print out say "ORIGINAL UPC" on the one to send to Logitech, and "PHOTOCOPY of the UPC" on the RS one (yup, capital letters and all). So sending in the forms that print shouldn't present any problems...

Ok, I called Radio Shack on this. They were quite familiar with this. The CSR interrupted me before I got the question out so they've heard it 100 times already.

However they danced around giving me a straight answer.

I asked the same question at least 6 differnent ways and they simply would not give me a straight answer. I asked if they would accept the photocopy of the UPC.

They said send the original to the manufacturer. Ok so far so good. Then I asked will Young America accept a photocopy? The CSR just kept reapeating "send the photocopy to us"

I said "Will you accept the copy?"
again "Send the photocopy to us"

"Then you are going to accept the photocopy on this rebate?
"Put the photocopy in an envelope and send it to us Sir."

In other words they would not admit whether they are going to accept it.

Maybe give it a day or so 'til the CSR's get some direction on how to answer. But as of now they don't seem to know and are giving this vague BS answer.

Yeah the same thing kinda happened to me today when i was in the store...i've asked the Sale Rep and he wasnt sure...then after i asked the manager and he "send a photocopy to the rebate center and let them fight it out."
He dont seem too bright as a person by what he said to me. Oh well...hate to do this but i guess im going to pass...its a great deal thou...

The rebate forms that print at RS with the item state: "ORIGINAL UPC" (Logitech) and "PHOTOCOPY of the UPC" (RS). Using these forms should be okey dokey.

hey heroboy, where did you get the Photocopy UPC rebate??? the link provided here require both Original. Thanks

It printed out with the item receipt at RadioShack.

thanks

picked this up today. RS gives you both of the Rebate Forms, and Heroboy is right, the RS rebate asks for Photocopy. Great deal guys!! :bigok:
