? RE:Disneyland and AAA..any So. Cal-ers out there?

Does anyone know if Disneyland still gives a discound for AAA members? I know they give a resident one but I don't have an ID. I have my Dad's AAA card but he won't be with us so do you think they'd ask for ID?

Any other "cheap" Disney tricks would be appreciated! I'm so excited I finally get to take my kids! I feel like a kid again myself! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:
 
i booked through costco travel and got a better deal than AAA this year (we usually do the AAA thing)... make sure you check out all your options!

(we're leaving tomorrow morning for our disney trip :woot:)
 
No WAY!!!! We're flying out today too! (yesterday to your post)...we're only going to do Disney for one day and I'm not sure which day yet. Probably sometime during the week so it won't be too crowded yet. We didn't find out until Wed. that we'd be going on Sat. so I've been crazy getting everyone ready. It isn't technically suppose to be a fun trip, but we've had so much unfun stuff in the past few months dh and I decided we have to do something! We'll be staying in Carlsbad. Are you staying the whole time until the Elvis race in June? No, that's probably a silly question. I'm just so Giddy!!! I grew up out there and I've been waiting so long to take my boys. The timing is finally right and my 6 year old is finally 41 inches tall!! Yesterday I realized I'm going to get to buy them their first set of ears!!! I remember getting my first set when I was around 6 years old...red bow. Anyway have a safe trip!!! Have fun!!!
 
you have a fun trip, too! we'll be at the park monday and tuesday... if you see me, hubby and 5 youngsters, you better say hi :)

We're planning on taking our girls in 2010. Then they'll be 3 & 6 so we think they'll both enjoy it!
 
I am so jealous. I have yet to go to Disneyland. One of these days...
 
We're in CA right now..sitting in Jack in the Box and stealing wi-fi from some Chinese Restaurant. We're going to Disney on Wed and I'm so dang excited! If anyone out there lives in So Cal, Vons had a super deal. $66 (regular price) for a one day pass to Disneyland, and you get a bonus day at California Adventure good for 30 days. The Vons we went to was out of them, and we're not residents anyway so we'd be scr@@@d it they asked for id, and we're only planning one day...but if anyone else can use it it sure is a super deal. A free day!
 
we just got back *sigh*
it was TONS of fun! we didn't do everything we wanted, but it IS an annual excursion (thanks to uncle sam and the child tax credit ;)) so we'll get to do other things next year!

i'll post pics tomorrow (i know you're on the edge of your seats :p)

I'm back too! What a blast! Best part of our week! I'll post our pic later too...after I'm done catching up! What the heck happened while I was gone? The sites all different, I apparently missed a fiesty row....(thank goodness)...from what I've read so far I'm afraid to post for fear I break some new rule! Anyway Disneyland rocked!!

Love the pic Clubby! Can't believe you can have that many kids and look that good!

You were there the beginning of the week. We were there on Thursday. Did you by any chance notice a funky smell in various places throughout the park. I don't remember it before. It was almost like a sewer smell. My husband and I both smelled it so I can't be crazy, but I kept forgetting to ask someone.
 
hmmmm... i didn't notice it. what parts of the park smelled funky? we have a mcdonald's nearby that smells like a sewer to me, and i don't take the kids there because of it.

wouldn't that have been cool if we'd been there and taken pics together???!!!

The only place I've ever noticed a... bad... smell is right near Pirates of the Caribbean. Just to the left of the ride entrance, it smells like a sewer back there, pretty much every time I've been there.
