Hey yall,

I'm looking for any rebates/coupons for Palm PDA's. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a big Palm freak. The only rebates and promotions around on newer Palm handhelds is the trade-in program which will give you $50 for your old Palm, if you have one. I've had four Palms.

1. Palm m500 (gift, later returned for digital camera)
2. Palm Vx (hand-me-down from neighbor)
3. Palm m515 (another hand-me-down from neighbor)
4. Palm Zire 71 (returned m515 to Costco and used credit)

My neighbor constantly hands me down Palms when she upgrades hers to the latest model. Don't ask, it's crazy, but I like it. :D Anyway, it cost me nothing to upgrade from my m515 to my Zire 71, which is priced at $250-$300. I used the $265 return credit I got from Costco (I didn't buy it there but they'll take back anything ;)), and applied the credit to a Zire 71 priced at $275. You can find all the information at http://www.palm.com. I love it. It's a TON of handheld for the money, so I'd suggest getting it. Let me know your price range and I can help you out more. Feel free to contact me below!

I have a few question:

1. does it cost anything to apply membership at costco?
2. How did you get the credit from them?
3. what is the major advantage of zire 71?
4. do you know if they will accept pda that is damage for trade in?

thanks

Costco is $45 for a one-year membership, and it's well worth it. I returned the Palm to Costco because they'll take anything back with or without receipt, and they carried it once in their stock. The Zire 71 has a beautiful high resolution color screen, built in 640x480 digital camera, built in MP3 player with Secure Digital expansion all at a reasonable price of $250-$300. I do not know if they'll take a damaged Palm for trade in, I would assume they would. The program is new and I don't know much about it.
