Recertified Microsoft Xbox 360 Premium System for $199.99 Shipped

I wouldnt trust anything refurbished with the 360. It has a high failure rate. Microcenter here in chicago had to stop selling the refurbished systems because they had a high failure (return) rate. I dont remember the exact number but it was over a 70% failure rate on the the refurbs.

I gave up on the Xbrick completely... just sold off the remainder of my Micro$oft items
 
Do not buy the refurb'd. The warranty on these part is not extensive enough. The "new" premium has also been rebuilt with a much better arcitecture (45nm cpu), and a new power system so everyone is much less likly to get the 3 rings of death issue with the new system. To give everyone an example of how bad the old setup was I am currently on my 7th 360. Once I got the new release though everything has worked flawlessly.

How would someone :o know if they're getting the "new release" box off the store shelf as opposed to getting old stock?

Buy a modded one they are around $275.00 Why? Because the modder has been inside the machine & knows what chips it has, what version it is, drive type etc.

You need to check the manufacture date. For example every premium x-box manufactored after July 2007 I believe was built with HMDI, before was not. I believe they started using the new components sometime after October/November 2007.

refurbished! I've had problems w/ one i bought new..they then sent a refurbished one and we had tons of problems..not even worth $50.00 DO NOT BUY REFURBISHED! If you do you're really at your own perril
