Refurbished Philips DVP5990 HDMI 1080P Upscaling DVD Player for $24.99 Shipped

If it's anything like the new Philips electronics I've bought in the past, it'll break within a few months.

I bought the previous model, refurbished. It works great. Plays every DVD I've burned, and also DIVX encoded disks, or DIVX files or JPG photo's straight from a USB flash drive.
My only gripe is the tray doesn't have any indentations to make picking up the disc easier. I just use the disc hole. $24 is a great deal, if you need a DVD player. I paid $39 last time around.

Philips are priced cheap. I think because their disposable. I got a DVD player for $70.00 to use with my computer setup. It played anything Pal, DivX, Xvid, CD's, RW's, etc.. After a while it started making a funny noise & then went dead. Took it apart, no fuse of any sort I could find, nothing burnt, but no power to any motor, etc.. It's out of warranty & costs more to fix than I paid. Look at all the refurbished one's for sale.

I have bought 2 refurbished DVD player from Philips and both DOA.
