I remember "gas wars" when a gallon of gas was the same price as a pack of cigarettes - 25 cents.

I used to buy cigarettes for "my dad" of course, after the Saturday kiddy double feature which I seem to recall being 30 cents, popcorn was a dime a bag (dime bags became much more expensive in the 60s ), candy a nickel a box (boxes became more expensive too ) and I think the big drink was a dime.

I remember when the battle was between VHS and Betacam. I believe Betacam was better but VHS won (obviously).
