Rep game solution??????

:listen: Maybe the posters that were angry with the rep game would appreciate having their "Thanks" numbers posted separately from their rep points.

:idea:That way they can get all the recognition that they want and not have them confused with the rep points.

:doh: Posters usually get "Thanked" not rep'ed.

I also believe that if any of them have their reps disabled, the "thanks" should not be optional to disable and still be visible. :motz:

If posters have their reps disabled :rant:and are angry with the game......they should just be :shot:


You might as well bring back the game, cuz people are going to play and have fun with it no matter what they have to do :hug:

It was one of the only community games that old and new members enjoyed playing together as a team! :grouphug:

Good idea but it would probably upset some of the posters who have been thanked quite a few times that they would now have to start over? Unless Spoofee figured out a easy way of giving members pro-rated thanks?

It sounds like a good idea but posters probably wouldn't want to have to start over like Taz said and It Would probably be hard for Spoofee to distinguish the current rep points from Thanks and reps. Everyone would probably either have to start over or We would have to be able to keep the points we have and start over on the rep game, (maybe a hug button, lol) which would still make some of the non repers mad that we kept the points. Maybe Spoofee can Distinguish the dif?? :noidea: hmmm.....I know I spelled Spoofee right, didn't I?

And......if the reputation were to be 'reset' say....quarterly, but keep the thanks tally running....that might make for an interesting game while keeping the 'non-players' happy keeping their special recognition they so desire.....:hmmmm:

What kind of mind/ego gets UPSET about reputation points or being THANKED on a dam web site where it is just DOTS ON A SCREEN!?!?! If folks are upset about not being recognized I say go to a THERAPIST!! This is just the Internet, you want your life validated and appreciated, then get the heck off the computer and go to a homeless shelter and volunteer!! There is just way to much thought being given to basically a mindless topic...the Rep Game was FUN...you don't need a PhD. to get that idea. For all the folks that have posted great bargains, links, freebies, you know we all are all grateful to you and your efforts. In today's economy, even if one poster gets a deal, most of us here are happy about it. The thank you button works wonders in my humble opinion for those posters who work tirelessly to share their good fortunate with those of us who are looking to make ends meet. So from me and Jeb Stuart...who can't activate the Thank you button...we say THANK YOU ONE AND ALL! Now, bring back the rep game and stop this kindergarten behavior. Rags (who is grumpy and hungry in no particular order! Oh and lets no forget old and delusional as well! LOL LOL LOL)

I could not have said it better Rags:clap::yesnod: I for one am happy when I find a great freebie to share with the community some of what I have been fortunate enough to receive. As we all know if we are lucky we end up with only about 25% of the freebies we sign up for. I have personally posted several freebies which I signed up for before posting them and not received them but other people have posted that they did. I do not cry in my Wheaties about it though. As you said thanks and reps are just a bunch of dots on the screen. But I do enjoy my imaginary car and the free popcorn:)

I was thinking he same exact thing.....

are there people who really get upset over being thanked/repped....if so I think these people need to step away from the computer once in a while and see that there are more important things in this world to be upset over:)
there is life outside of your computer world!

Exactly! Yes posters should be thanked for their posts but obviously someone is making too big of a deal out of it. Come on Guys, its not like rep points are dollars! Besides there are a ton of sites that offer the same freebies and its not like we can't get them anywhere else. Most of us prefer Spoofee because it isn't just a freebie site, its a community. Not only can we find great deals and freebies, but we make friends and talk about any and everything. Truthfully shouldn't that get a thanks too? No freebie is worth more than having a place where you can can take a break from your day and hang out and socialize. Without the community forums and playfulness Spoofee just becomes another freebie site, and there are plenty of those around. :)
