(Resolved) help please

Hello,

By default most users don't allow email to be sent by other forum users. The best method for sending a message to a user is by sending them a Private Message (PM). You can send them a PM by clicking on there name and selecting PM from the drop down menu or by going to the URL below. If you have any other questions please ask.

I posted other places questions about PMing and just found this. I can't find any option for PMing anywhere, and when I click this link I get:

conamante, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

You are correct. New users are restricted from using the PM system untill they have been active and have enough posts. The reason for the restrictions are due to spammers. Interact on the forums a bit more and you'll be able to send PMs.

explains things a little better, one needs to post a bit more. the last time i posted a freebie on here it was for anderson screens and seconds after i posted it it was moved and claimed by another poster, hmmmm go figure ;)
 
Its common for a duplicate post to be merged with the original posting. Nothing is claimed or can be given to a different user, the posts also have the time if there is any doubt. Always search here http://www.spoofee.com/forums/search.php prior to posting ;)


The OP for the Anderson screen was made on 05-21-2007, 04:48 PM, You posted the same deal 06-12-2007, 09:42 PM

Thank you! That helps explain things alot better. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong but it makes a lot more sense now. Thank you!

Believe you me - if you do something wrong - there are about 27 different users who will let you know about it. Some will do it nicely, others will go for your jugular.

If you're not sure about a new post, do a search and if you still don't see it, put in a disclaimer of "i searched but did not see it".
;)
