these sales are awesome... Monday night, I used a $25 GC for all u can eat sushi rolls for 2 people at $14.99 per person. Total bill was about $14, and that was WITH a $7 tip!!!

cool site, i just wish they had stuff for my city :banghead:

Yea,

There is only one restaurant that want to get the certs for and they are always sold out. :(

Kage_

I'm always a little curious as to how these work. Can you use more than one at a time? Are they valid for everything but alcohol? I'd pick up a couple but I can never seem to get the whole story as to terms and conditions.

Anyone care to explain? Thanks.

Most limit one per month. You can't use two in one sitting. Yes, valid for everything but alcohol, but on mine it says "valid on the food porton of the bill" so I guess they could charge you for a coke if they wanted to.
I've used three of these and they work great. Really, really good deal.

Erik, each coupon is different. Once you find a restaurant you like take a look at the coupon details and it will tell you exactly when and how to use it.
Some are very restrictive and others aren't too restrictive. I guess each restaurant makes their own rules. :D

Ahh, I see. So if I picked up a coupon that has parties of four or more, it wouldn't really do that much for me if I'm just going with my girlfriend. Good deal anyway.

Thanks.

Yes..some of the restaurants require you to buy 4 or more entrees to use the $25 certificate. And 4 entrees at a French restaurant is going to be around $50 plus...
and most restaurants require at least a $40 min. to use the certificate.

So even if you only paid $5 for the $25 certificate...which sounds great. Reality is
you wind up paying about $30 for a $50 meal...since you can only use one certificate
per visit. Then of course add tax and tip onto that $30.

Now..if only you could use 2 certificates per meal...now that would be a deal.
Actually the 50% deals are best..and simpler..you pay $1 and you get 50% off the bill.

I've been using these once or twice a month for well over a year now. They're wonderful! There would be no other way I'd be able to afford to eat anywhere other than McDonalds on my college kid budget, but this lets me. I always look at the menu of the restaurant first to make sure that even with the gift certificate, I can still afford the meal. Some people are right though...depending on the restaurants, you may still end up paying $30+ after the discount. I usually try to pick restaurants where the entrees are no more than $15 max and none of that 4 party people stuff.

I'm really interested in buying a certificate (especially w/ the extra 50% off, thank so much Cedar! :) ). I'm not exactly sure of when I'd use it, though, and am wondering if these have an expiration date? I looked throughout their web site & couldn't find any info on this. I don't see expiration dates noted for any of the places in my area, but then maybe i'm overlooking something

Look on the dining certificate itself... Every certificate that I have purchased has an expiration date one year from the date of purchase. I have used these certificates for nearly a year now at several locations, and I have never had any problems... just be sure you know exactly what are the terms and conditions of each certificate (e.g., minimum purchases, requirements, conditions or exclusions)

I just bought one to a good place in Chinatown, $25 certificate for four people for $5. I plan to eat chinese after the Philadelphia auto show today, so I may be able to use this, not sure if I want to go there though. Oh well, they don't expire so I'll be bound to use it sometime. Nice deal. Let's say four people spend an average of $10 a piece at a chinese place, that's a $40 bill - $25 = $15 plus a tip, very nice indeed.
