About 2-3 weeks ago this was $19.99 after rebates.

Bought for my son, and he does not like it. There is no anti-shock protection. So when he listens to it while walking or running it ends up scratching the CD, due to the lens rubbing on the surface.

I have this unit and have no problems with it, including skipping. It has something like 150 seconds of anti-skip (for MP3). Haven't noticed if the lens scratches the CD or not. Guess I should go home and take a look.....

From the reviews I've read on these units, they are hit or miss for reliability. Some people love them, some people get DOA units.
