Hey fellow spoofsters!

I have been searching high and low for the best deal on a roundtrip ticket to London. It doesn't matter what airport I arrive in (Gatwick or Heathrow), and I am leaving from Detroit Metro Airport. I would leave December 29 and arrive January 9. The departure date can be sooner if it is cheaper, but no later than the 29th. My fiance and I are getting married on the 31st in Scotland!! (She lives in London) Anyone up for the challenge?? :)

Thanks in advance. I may bring a special treat back from London for the person who finds me the best deal!! my best so far is $558 from travelocity. I know there is something better out there.

Thanks again!!

Congratulations, and good luck at your wedding!

Incredible that you can keep in touch with your fiance when she lives in London!

Thanks penpen. That flight has an 8 hour layover AND an airport change (JFK to LGA) ouch! I think avoiding that is worth the extra money!! :)

Agreed! You definitely need your rest before your "big day" :D and that long layover would not help!

Best wishes to you and your fiancee! Penpen

A few more...

Orbitz.com has a RT flight (DTW-LHR) for $452, leaving Dec 29, if you can return on Jan 10 instead of the 9th, otherwise, it's $477 thru them returning Jan 9. The Jan 10 return leg has 3 different departure times too.

Expedia.com is more pricey than Orbitz.com, which has the RT flight for $492 on the days you noted.

You know, I swear the prices must have changed later in the day. This afternoon when I was looking I couldn't find anything under $550. Now there is something under $500 on every site. The itineraries aren't the greatest, but alot cheaper.

Those last 2 you found are good penpen. I've got a couple of travel agents calling me back tomorrow so i'll decide once I can compare some prices!

Thanks again for all of your help! :)

I know what you mean, Al Shah, airfares can fluctuate daily, even hourly! You just need to keep checking.

P.S. If you book a flight, and later you happen to see that your airline is advertising an even lower fare, you can always get a credit voucher from that airline for the difference. This happened to me several times, when I'd book a flight thinking it was a pretty good deal, then the airline would drop their price even lower! I'd just let the travel agent/airline know, and they'd issue me a credit voucher w/ the airline. Just FYI ;)
