RSS Feeds

In vbulletin there is also an option to enable RSS and XML feeds, you just need to click the box to enable it. Then users could grab the data and parse it themselves by going to this link.

http://www.spoofee.com/forums/external.php?type=RSS&forumids=5

Here is an example I have enabled on a Forum that I administer.

Uhmmm...RSS XML feed are usually for PDA handheld devices as an intermediate XML data interchange format. For most users using IE web browsers, we'll get just structured XML constructs unless Spoof creates XSLT stylesheets and enable the stylesheet rendering on the fly via the server-side.

I would like the structured XML contructs, that is the whole purpose. I would like to be able to parse the XML myself or use one of the many apps out there to grab the XML and look for changes and notify me. It would just take a click to enable it and for the people who know how to use it, it would be helpfull.

Cool dude! I think it's a good service to the Spoofee techies out there. :D

It would really rock to have an RSS Feed of the frontpage spoofee deals!

Unless you already have it, and I can't find it...

Hey there,

I don't think there's an rss feed as of yet. I know it has been discussed, but not sure if/when it will be implemented.

It's been a few months now... :) So just wondering, is there an RSS feed for any of the pages on this site, especially the board? I know vbulletin has a feed where the url is external.php?type=rss but this board doesn't have it turned on I think.

Spoofee has been working on some other projects to try to enhance the front page deals already. I think he wants to finish up all the enhancements to the front page before he starts thinking about RSS though. With all our "competitors" having RSS, he should be able to get to it soon.

Hi There..
My Old computer just died and I am now .NET compatibleand wondering how to set up an RSS feed off of spoofee,,,
I had seen the idea discussed before as I explored spoofee, but never really took in the details.
Is there a way to set it up.

jodaer, we currently don't have RSS Feed, but I'm getting email requests and ofcoarse the requests here. I think it's time to implement this. Let me give it a shot this weekend.

Live bookmarks for Firefox users

add this to the meta tags and it will put a icon on the status bar of the RSS feeds

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="-TITLE HERE-" href="-URL HERE-">

and you can put more than one

Am I able to get the front page deals through an RSS feed on my "MyYahoo" page?

I just tried on Yahoo and was unable.

Is this in the future plans?

Hi Mark, You are able to do this.
1. Click on "Add Content"
2. Click on "Add RSS By URL" on the right side.
3. Copy and paste http://www.spoofee.com/rss.php?version=2.0
4. Click "Add"
5. Click "Add to My Yahoo"

Now you have Spoofee deals on My Yahoo! :)

We created Spoofee Front Page Deal's RSS feed due to popular demands. Please read the article from XML.com to see what this is all about.

RSS Feed Version 0.91 - http://www.spoofee.com/rss.php?version=0.91
RSS Feed Version 1.0 - http://www.spoofee.com/rss.php?version=1.0
RSS Feed Version 2.0 - http://www.spoofee.com/rss.php?version=2.0

Let me know if there is anything else I can add or modify to this to make it more useful for everyone.

This is awesome, Spoof!!! BTW, if anyone is interested in a very good RSS reader and feeder, then get pluck Microsoft IE browser plug-in for FREE. Just "Pluck-It" on the new Spoofee RSS feeds to get the latest deals.

http://www.pluck.com/display.aspx?download

After installing "pluck", you can add the Spoofee RSS feed by just typing the urls Spoofee has onto IE browser's "Address" field and it will automatically render it. Try it and see. :D

I use the sage extension for FireFox: http://sage.mozdev.org/
It works great.

I'm using RSS Popper, which is an Outlook plug in.. and all I am getting are the titles, with a "read more" link.. on other blogs I RSS, I see the actual text and images.. is it a compatibility problem, or is the RSS feed simply not sending full details for each "deal"?

I use pluck, too. It's awesome. Too bad they don't have for Firefox. Can Sage share the lists? With pluck, I can share the list and bookmarks I have both at work and at home, and that's one main reason I got it.
