can someone fill me in on paraffin treatments?!?

I used to use paraffin treatments to help with arthritis pain, it keeps the painful area warm for quite a long time. The paraffin usually has some type of oil added so as not to stick to your skin. That's all I know about it, but it may be used for other types of treatment, too.

It's sometimes used in spas just as a relaxing treatment to soften the skin on your hands or feet as well... I think that is the general use of spas. But, I bought a paraffin dip warmer/kit for my husband to help with his carpal tunnel syndrome and according to him, it really helps.

I've found paraffin treatments to be quite relaxing. I have a paraffin heater/container and I'm anxious to try these strips (vs. just dipping).
