many of these drives have problems running on the same sata controller as sata hard drives. You might have to buy an additional sata controller to run it without bsods

You can get a PATA drive for less. Burning at these speeds don't max out the bus so SATA vs PATA isn't a concern unless you are cunning out of connections. I don't feel this is all that good of a deal.
