Great deal. Thanks, InuYasha... But I have a question. How come your avatar looks like a girl from megaman or something instead of having Kagome or Sango?

Great deal! I believe his icon is Megaman Zero.

but good question. Why the name Inu-yasha, but have a Megaman as an avatar. :) I have a feeling, he would probably ask you why your screen name is live_squid, but have Cosby as an avatar.

Well, to make a long story short, my Inuyasha avatar that I always use is "too big" for spoofee's avatar slot so I just chose to use this one. This is zero from the Megaman X series. Megaman zero is like a cheap ripoff of the real zero IMO. This is my usual avatar:

As for the 3yr warranty, check in/on the actual box, this should be a 5yr warranty drive. I have one of these and mine came with a 5yr warranty...

so a box with a red x is your avatar? Cool.

This a SATA drive or Ultra ATA??? I can't find that information anywhere.

Called seagate last month. Drive's sold after June or July 1st of 2004, forgot which month, have a 5-year warranty. Drives sold as part of a computer system have a components warranty from the manufacturer of that computer system, even if purchased after 6/7-1-2004.

That's a whole different senario in and of itself! Basically this is a bare drive so it sports the nice 5yr warranty!

How do the larger drives do in terms of silence?

Seagate is known for good silent drives, but I hear the larger drives are louder?

I just installed this drive and it is pretty quiet. Atleast I cannot hear it over my Maxtor that is also installed. ;)
