Seagate 300GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive for $79.99 Shipped After Rebate

If the banks were open today, I'd be able to deposit enough money to make this purchase. Hope it lasts through tomorrow.

Yeah I wish. We lost our house (and over $30,000 of equity) because we had a bum-bum-head realtor that didn't do his job. No signs for three weeks after the contract was signed and then he pulled the signs about three months into our six-month contract because he wanted to put them on other houses. We lost the house and our credit to boot. One day, though, we will have a nice credit card that we can purchase stuff like this with impunity. ;)

Do you know how many of these drives I could have purchased with that 30k? LOL

you should be living it up with the college girls. it will be the best time of your life. you can waste your time on this stuff when you are out of college or after you get married ;)

It's $129.99 before rebates, making it $69.99 AR. Even better!

It was a 1-day deal. The price is now $174.99 with no rebates, and both rebate forms specifically stated the purchase had to be made on 2/20/06. I got mine in for $139, which still wasn't a bad deal....

214. Good luck finding that many people to help you redeem all the rebates. And then you could buy 92 more and get those rebates. Then you could buy 39 more and get those rebates and buy 17 more and get those rebates. Then buy 7, redeem the rebates and buy 3 more. Using the rebate money from these 3 buy 1 more and then go buy some dinner.

Of course by the time the first set of rebates comes in the deal will be dead. But if the rebate was eternal, you could end up with 111,900 Gigs (112 TB) over 373 drives.. You would need 40 server towers just to hold all those drives.

I knew it was for 02/20 only, but because Outpost is a West Coast company, I assumed my invoice would reflect time of purchase Pacific Time. Not so, as confirmed by an Outpost CSR this morning. Had to cancel my order :(
