A lot of the reviews are ill informed. Seagates did have quite a few problems in the past but these issues have been resolved with updated firmware. Also, you will see a lot of negative reviews saying ITS SUPPOSED TO BE 2TB AND IT SHOWS AS 1.83TB !!! WHAT A RIPOFF. Not really what you should be basing your purchases on.
