I tried this and found it doesn't work well, it doesn't dissolve well either, just MY experiance.

Great Product

I used to work for a washing machine manufacturer and this product was superior to most of the national brands. It cleaned well and is suitable for machines that require HE detergent as well as standard washing machines. Some people prefer liquids if their machines don't dissolve powder well. But I always use the Sears Ultra. I have never had a problem with it. It's way better than Tide.

For the life of me I can't understand how this only a "Fair" deal? At half price, this is an excellent deal IMO.

Having used this in my Whirlpool he washer for the past year, it beats out any liquid or powder at twice the price.

Stocked up with 8 boxes which should last my family 4+ years.

I bought 2 huge boxes of this the last time it was hilighted as a "deal". I still have 1 and 3/4 box left! :ack:

I guess it depends on your washing machine. I would have better luck dissolving rocks than dissolving this detergent.

We've been using this going on 3 years in our HE machine with NO problems. Don't know if it makes any difference but we use hot water wash almost all the time.

Price is now $16.99, no longer $11.99 anymore ....

HE Machines tend to better agitate the laundry mix. Is it just me, or do HE detergents do nothing more than measure a smaller amount of detergent? And since they agitate better, maybe HE detergents can get away with being crappier dissolvers.

I had a similar dissolving problem with Kirkland brand laundry detergent - only washing in hot water would fully dissolve it. Switching back to name brands (Gain and Tide recently) was so worth the extra cost compared to that cheap stuff like Kirkland, Purex, and Arm & Hammer. Cleaner clothes, less fading, less soap residue, and much better smell...ahhh.

he is low-sudsing, concentrated laundry detergents and used in low water high-efficiency washers. Regular detergent in a he machine will wash the clothes, but will not rinse properly. Using regular detergent in a he machine and compensating by using less detergent does not allow the machine to properly wash the clothes.

The key here for this detergent is concentrated.

It works excellent for me.

Price now back down to $11.99 again
