Sennheiser HD-280 Professional Headphones for $64.99 Shipped

great deal

I recently purchased these headphones for watching movies, and playing bass in my apartment. I paid 80 bucks for these things at jr a couple months ago. these headphones have extremely good sound quality, you will not find better headphones for 65 bucks, even for 100 for that matter (100 bucks at magnolia)

i have a pair and the are very nice ...top notch

These cans rock. :claps:

They output extremely low bass (beyond what you can hear) but always in the right amount. That's because these are meant for monitoring purposes where precision of tones are more important than boomy bass and high pitch trebles. You can easily make these sound like other headphones by using a bit of EQ so they'd sound better for popular music.

Be warned though, these are closed cans and provide sound isolation at the cost of being a bit stuffy in the summer. Your ears need to breathe too and these cans don't let fresh air in.

I still love them, paid the same price a few years back for mine and I'm loving it.

Definitely would recommend them to you guys :teeth:

I don't know about Grado SR60s but most Grados have a great variance over the frequencies so the sound is richer and also less accurate because of that. Basically what I mean is, the highs are higher and the lows are lower. It is certainly miles apart from monitoring headphones (like the HD280) which try their best to remain stable throughout the frequencies.

I would recommend www.head-fi.org for further research, I used that site to find opinions on HD280's before I bought mine.

Looks like there are only 5 left in stock accounting to Amazon.com. Glad I saw came across this deal before it was too late!
