$119.99 for the 110-K, and the code doesn't work, nor does the link.

Thanks, link is now fixed, but deal does still work.

I just ordered the SE-110 for $69.97 shipped :)

Can't wait to try these out.

$500.00 for earbuds! Wow. There better be a little band in each one for that.

You bet! I can't even justify spending more than $15 on a pair. I mean, how much better can the sound get from tiny little speaker bud?! It's not like selecting hi def/fid 7.1 floor-standing home theater speakers! geez!

Yeah really. Show me a mp3 player that supports hi-def. Even if there is one mp3 are compressed and don't sound as good as CD's

Ever heard of lossless compression? Pretty much every ipod sold supports it. Sounds just as good as the CD.

I used to think that, too. Boy was I wrong. The quality you can get out of an MP3 is pretty impressive, when listening with quality headphones/earbuds.

I have the Grado SR60 headphones ($70, and worth every penny), and let me tell you, you have no idea what music sounds like until you hear them. I would recommend them way before any in-ear phones I have, including the Shure e2c that I have. They are over-the-ear, open headphones, however, so they're not very portable and have a ton of sound leakage, but for listening to your music at home, they're outstanding. But even quality ear buds or in-ear headphones BLOW the $15 cheapos out of the water, believe me. It's one of those things where you don't know what you're missing until you hear it, and then it's incredibly difficult to go back.

You may think you're hearing the best that your MP3s can offer, but trust me, you haven't. The amount of nuance and detail that's in an MP3 is amazing. Obviously you're not going to get the sound quality out of an MP3/WMA that's low bitrate vs. a high bitrate or lossess audio file, but you really would be amazed.

what bakntime said is 100% true i have the Grado sr80s and the shure e530s and man do both sound amazing especially compared to 15$ earbuds. youd really have to be into music to spend 500$ on headphones and on top of that you'll want a amp for them to make them really shine but if you spend it you wont be sorry.

That's what I was thinking too! $500 for a pair of in-ear headphones is insane. I'd rather buy a brand new laptop for that price.

Maybe if I were Bill Gates or something...

if you were bill gates, you would be using 1,000 dollar bills for toilet paper

i have a pair of the 100+ and i will say this, the quality is better than anything i have tried and the comfort is awsome as well as the fit.

I've tried listening to my mp3's with Grado and Shure products from two of my friends out of curiosity before and I can honestly say that the difference between then and my $25 earphones from Sony isn't worth the money in quality.

It ranges from about none to mediocre quality difference. Plus, if I lost a pair of Shure's, I'd probably feel a whole lot worse than losing the Sony's.

The Shure's do look nice though.

In fairness to the Grados (and perhaps the Shure as well), there's more to sound quality than the headphones. Having a decent MP3 player with enough power to drive the Grados is somewhat critical to the sound quality (in other words an el-cheapo MP3 player can only sound so good), plus, an even bigger factor is the bitrate/quality of the MP3s. Anything less that 192k or so isn't going to get as much of a quality boost from high end headphones as listening to high bitrate MP3s or CDs, even though I've found a incredibly significant sound improvement on even lower bitrate music.

Not to mention that sound quality can often be a matter of preference. Some people prefer a thumping/boomier bass, while the Grado's bass is much more refined, punchier, and accurate. The transparency of the sound, to me, was miles ahead of even my other mid-range headphones.

But the fact of the matter is that we all have different hearing, we all have different preferences for sound, and we don't all like the same things. My best advice is to try the product before you buy, and do it on something where you can do a side-by-side comparison of the listening devices with the same music source.

imo , these guys are ripping people off at >$200, since they know there are sick folks out there that enjoy paying as much as possible.
