Anyone ever had a sinus scan done on their head (MRI or otherwise)? Get the jokes out of the way...I'm serious. Did it help diagnose/treat anything. I'm still having mega problems.

I have not had one, but if the doc recommends it - go for it. The MRI would be able to tell where the problem is and possibly how severe. I am having trouble with my sinuses big time right now - maybe I should get one......

I've done decongestants, steroid sprays, antibiotics. I told my husband last night that although it's not anywhere close to where it was, if I touch around my eye sockets, I could scream, it hurts so bad. And I can feel fluid actually move when I mush on my forehead...the skin feels numb"ish" like a few hours after you've had lidocaine injected under the skin. What all is going on with you? Repeated infections? Just can't clear it either?

If your head is squishy, I think it's time to find out what the problem is.
MRIs and CT scans are painless. If you have a problem with claustrophobia, find an open MRI facility.

I'll just remember this if I have any problems with claustrophobia. I've had a CT scan before and it didn't bother me.

Are you saying wow to the cat getting in the vase, or the cat being dumb enough to do that?

There is a neat thing, a Netipot. Used to clean your sinuses & it's easy & common.

You don't need a neti pot.....:nono:....

:ack:

Preco - get out of my head (and my sinuses). When I saw the post about the netipot, the first thing I thought of was just squirting an insane amount of fluid up my nose. cue creepy music.

the dreaded red x...... thanks Preco for the charming music

I assume your problem isn't seasonal. Every spring the tree pollen attacks my eyes and sinuses. I feel pretty self conscious when I sneeze with all of the flu-scare going 'round.
