Sling Media Slingbox for $149.99 Shipped

Anybody know how this works with recorded shows? I see pics of a Tivo skin for the remote so it must work somehow. I imagine it has no saving/buffering capabilities of it's own.

I also noticed the Slingbox for $149.00 on buy.com. Usually you can find a coupon for an additional 10% with a minimum purchase. If you have a Pocket PC device Slingbox also sells software so that you can watch TV on your Pocket PC device for around 30 dollars.

It works great with my system. I have Motorola Moxi cable box from Adelphia and record Conan/Leno everyday. Then at work, I just connect to my slingbox and control my Moxi and play recorded shows from it. It runs smooth after about 10 seconds. And as long as you don't press any buttons (like stopping, pausing, etc) then it should run smooth because the program buffers about 7 seconds into your PC.

Slingbox itself isn't a TV system. It just transfers whatever goes through your cable box/dish receiver and then sends it over the internet to you. So you can do whatever you can at home... but elsewhere. The system comes with a remote sensor device you just have to put near the cable box's remote sensor... then you can control YOUR cable box.

I highly recommend this item if you travel a lot... or able to watch TV at work without getting caught. I mainly bought this when Slingbox released the mobile one... and offered it for free to anyone who bought Slingbox. I installed it on my phone and man, it works great. I don't know how I ever lived without it.
