a comment about the SLINGBOX

Someone described me this scenario.:
if you have a friend who subscribes to some special cable channel , if u set this up correctly.. u can then watch that special channel at your house on ur PC.. thanks to Slingbox..
only thing is that ur friend ,also needs to be watchnig the same channel

has any one tried this.. what if I , at the receiving end connect the PC to my TV.. or projector... how good is the reception video ?
