Social Groups

The Social Groups options still has the "Group Type" drop down activated, and it allowed me to change and save it as Invite-Only.
Is this because it is an older group, from before the policy changes? Will new groups have this option disabled? Or is it just a matter of self-policing, since the group type is clearly visible to all on the Social Groups page?

Or is it visible? I don't see it now, but I thought I saw it earlier somewhere.

I can't join a group

This is the message I got when I tried joining:

callmeCrazyButt, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Fixed! Now users can only create public or moderated social groups.

I don't think this is fixed. The software just allowed me to create an invite-only group.

I'll let Spoofee know to take a look at it, but I looked at your group and I can find no way to set it to invite only. I edited your group and the only options I see are public and moderated. Can you take another screen shot showing the drop down menu with the invite only option.

mine only drops down to public or moderated and I am assuming moderated means I have to approve and delete posts, and public would mean I leave it on auto-pilot?

I'm going to guess it's an cache issue. Can you try doing a CTRL+F5 and see if you still get it?
