Tried for the xbox and it was insane and of course didnt get. There are more units of this it seems so I may try but am not expecting anything.

Sooo much false hope. I saw the "Get this deal now"... and I landed in a "We are experiencing a high volume page.

I wonder if they used this deal to see if they are able to handle the high load.

Yea, I think you're right Spoofee - they seemed pretty content with constantly sending me to the "please wait and try reloading in thirty seconds" page. And waiting isn't what I want to do considering how fast the XBox360 sold out. But it looks like Amazon's servers didn't crash today, so I guess it worked.

:rant: Same here. I also saw some page where it told me to type "nn" twice.. or type "radar" backwords for a second chance too.
 
I got one! I got one! The 1st time I rec'd the wait 30 sconds page, I clicked back and clicked on the puchase button... It then takes you to a page that says you don't own it yet, type this word in backwards... After that, I added it to my cart and went through the whole process... I didn't think I would get through:wave:
 
I also got to the second page where it asked me to type q 3x and that was as far as I got. But I also tried for the drill which I was able to get. My brother just got a new apartment and thought he might like that for the holidays!
 
Scam?

I got in the page at 9:00 and 2 seconds and got an order in, and then it came up as $99
I'm ordering in and complaining and asking for a refund of the $75. I don't know if it will work, but if they hassle me, I'll drop the whole order (with several hunderd of Xmas gifts). We'll see what happens.

just got off the phone with them and they told me I couldnt use the 1 click shopping for those sales! None the less couldnt get then to adjust the price so I cancelled
 
Yeah, you have to go through the amazon vote page. I forgot they moved it to Sunday.
 
Oh, a new system. Guess they didn't like how it's working out. You vote for the one you want, and that's the only one you can buy. They will randomly assign the winners instead of making us sit there at the ready!

AMAZON administrators are doing load testing of their servers.. for the up coming sales. hence. what better way than to make up a deal offer and get us to help them in their load testing..

I got it

Well, disregard my previous post. It was supposed to put the winner code in the code field, but it didn't. And the email got caught in the spam filters. I had to delete the old one out of the order, and enter the code manually, and re-order. I just hope it arrives in time to wrap it up for my bro, before he leaves town for xmas. I'm lucky I got the order in. When Amazon pulls this stuff, they aughta do it with more stock. They listed how many they had, and it wasn't enough. The rule changes may make it more fair.
