Also its about $30 or so more for most of us, they have those kiosks in malls so they have to charge sales tax. I did however order with exactly as shown, except I did ad the optional $10 recovery CD...

I saw a big thread on onother sight about how to get those(recovery CDs) for free... it was funny it had step by step what to say an do and then told you how dell would respond.

This looks like the same deal as the last dell lappy the entry level XPS. Except 100 cheaper and for that you lose the good HD for a smaller slower one and you lose the DVD/cd Burner for a less functional CD drive. I dont know if those two cost dell $100 but those two upgrades are more then 100 so I would say the previous deal was better

I work at a computer networking company and had the guys check it out. Overall it is a pretty good laptop that does what it is suppose to do (I don't game on it or do video). I did upgrade my warranty (with 3 little kids it is a must) to the 3 year on site, a co-worker has a similar PC and he has dropped it twice and they replaced it with no problem. Now granted I don't need all the other stuff because I can get it at work.

With a 3 year warranty I got out the door with a total of $798.58 including free 3-5 day shipping.
