** SOLD OUT** -- Free after Rebate Packet8 VOIP(Voice Over IP) Kit with FREE shipping

www.jr.com has the following

item # 8X8 PACKET8

8X8PACKET8.PNG

8x8 Packet8 Broadband Phone Adapter VoIP - VOIP, or Voice Over IP, is a new technology that lets you make phone calls over the Internet for a flat monthly fee! All you need is a broadband Internet connection, either DSL or Cable, a Router and this adapter. After you sign up for the monthly service you plug this adapter into a free Ethernet port on your router, then plug in your regular phone to the adapter. You'll get a new phone number and your phone will work the same as always - but calls will travel through your Modem instead!

Keep in mind that you have to sign up for Packet8 VoIP service. It's $20 a month for unlimited calls in the United States and Canada. Great rate, but I'd recommend Vonage. For $10 more, you get higher quality service, crisper calls, and technical support.

Its on again! <-- Read Details

When you sign up for Packet8 service they give you this device for free anyhow (well actually they lease it to you for free, so you never actually own it, but you can use it for as long as you have the service at no additional charge.) The device only works with Packet8 service, so theres no reason you would want it unles you subscribe ...

Moral of the story is the deal is STILL GOOD -- the only thing is you dont order it from jr.com you just order it directly from www.packet8.com

Sign up for service and they'll ship it to you for free.
