HARRY POTTER YEARS 1-6 - Official trailer

How do you know it's region free? I'll have to scrounge up some money for this.
Several studios release Blu-Rays without region coding, and I do believe the Harry Potter Blu-Rays are among those without region coding. They sometimes do this depending on what region got the Blu-Ray release first, or if they're being released at the same time in different regions.

The reviews state they are region free and worked on US players.

Pal ?

But those disks says PAL, so even though they'll play here, will the picture shows up weird?
Sorry, i'm totally confused with region and format stuff.. :)

blurays are not PAL, amazon is just stupid and copies over dvd information or something (PAL video usually means 25FPS and 720x576)
generally all blurays are 23.976FPS or 24FPS and 1920x1080. an example of an exception would be something like BBC Life which is 25FPS
the extras, however, may be PAL. but usually if the discs are region free they will not put any PAL content on them.
I use the following for a good reference on region information for blurays
Blu-Ray Region Code Info
Blu-Ray Region Code Info
a lot of times it will be specified with a note if the extra content is PAL

Why would anyone want to buy a box set with years 1-6? They are still making these movies and you'd eventually want the 2 movies that make up the 7th book as well. (and now there are even rumors about an 8th book she wants to write). And then you are going to have a box set plus two loose discs.

I understand the logic of the comment above ("they are still making movies"). The problem with it is that if you follow it, by the time the series finishes you don't care anymore. Your child might have grown up, Blu-Ray is no longer the best thing out, etc.

So I just recommend to get the best deal and forget about how you store them in your cabinet, loose disks or boxset. Who cares? They are in the cabinet!!

I've seen some reviews that state that although the product description says "region free" they have, indeed, received European regional coding discs. However, Amazon has a great return policy, so I'd say 'go for it!'

This actually comes out to be $40.09 USD with shipping. Still a great price
