Strange, it still shows in stock for me. I'm able to add it to my cart.

It shows it is in stock until you go through the whole process of buying it, then itsays while you were shopping we ran out out and its been removed from your cart.

Too bad this was a nice DVD player especially for the fact that it played most Divx files on discs

ya...seriously, companies need to figure out a way to sync up the in stock icon with a product actually being in stock.

Yeah, try actually buying it & then it disappears.......weird.

It's an okay player. I have one. I'd buy another one at that price. Nice picture but Not very reliable according to some posts I read. Plays divx but not all divx. Has a remote thats kind of sucky & an lcd display that doesn't show much. Also lacks front panel buttons, only has 2 buttons.....

There is an Rj-800 that plays divx & has a vga connector port & scart port. Plays any format subtitle. But again, rated not very reliable by people......

Good player

I bought this player when I got my new HDTV. Paid $70 for it after it was highly recommended by a friend of mine who also has a HDTV. I imagine this $30 is a price mistake or something, that's why people weren't able to get it. I'll echo the sentiment of other posters here. The remote takes some getting used to, as the ff/rew and play/pause buttons are in odd locations. Display is limited,. When you're playing a DVD it just displays the time, otherwise it'll show "LOADING" or "OPEN" or some such. The front doesn't have a lot of buttons. The size is good and it doesn't weigh much. Also it apparenlty has some feature where you can save the playing locations of 5 different DVDs so you can pick up again later, but I haven't read the manual yet.

They do have the DVD622/37B in stock for $30 w/free shipping. Does anyone have any experience with this player?

I placed an order and it will through. Has this happened to anyone else?

its a good player. wish it had FF RW on the actual player though in case the remote goes missing for whatever reason. it has played whatever files i have thrown at it very well. but i mostly use my xbox media center for divx files anymore so i may just get rid of mine and find a nicer upconverting HD capable player

I own this same player at home. Paid $70 retail. It's one of the best DVD players I've owned so far. Highly recomended!!! A+++

Just ordered one

Just ordered a DVP642/37B and got a confrimation email from Philips.

29.99 + 2.47 tax = 32.46

I'm actually buying this to play audio CDs, MP3 CDs and MP3 DVDs. Hope it works with all of those.

This is a great player with the weirdest remotes. To eject the DVD using the remote, you've to press the STOP button a little longer!! Yeah, funny eh? Also doesn't play DVD-R media coz Philips supported the +R format. Anyways, Magnavox does play both.

i have the dvp642 and it played -R and +R formats
